Youth 1
Our youth one curriculum (ages 7- 8) encourages your child to think like an artist while exploring materials and methods. Our focus is on progress and creativity, not perfection.
The curriculum follows a pattern that alternates between observational drawing practice and experimental creative projects. Every 2 months there is a final observational drawing project, either a still life or life drawing.
A daily sketchbook practice provides students with the opportunity to try out new observational techniques, develop ideas visually, and keep track of their progress.
Youth 2
Our curriculum circulates through five lesson types. Each focuses on a specific aspect of fine art training to build skills and encourage creativity.
You'll complete one lesson in each category before beginning the cycle again.
Each time though, you'll discover a new area of art history, and gain related skills.
Makers:
Interested in the world of art beyond drawing and painting? Create fine art pieces with unexpected materials. Let’s make collages, prints, wearable art, small sculptures, printed matter, and more! We’ll rely on our sketchbooks to brainstorm and keep a record of our brilliant ideas as we develop a cache of new and fabulous imagery.
Parties: Join us at the studio for a party experience that you will never forget! Each student creates a beautiful art piece under the guidance of our fun and helpful instructors.
