What a great Sunday! We had a blast at our Fall 2019 Give/Take Charity Event benefitting the Pedagogical Institute of Los Angeles! Thank you to all of the families who attended this event. Our hearts are full with your warmth and generosity!
GOAL: To learn and use the one point method of perspective to draw forms in space.
HORIZON LINE: A horizontal line that separates the ground from the sky also treated as the viewer/artists eye level.
VANISHING POINT: A theoretical point in the distance towards which receding parallel lines diminish.
ORTHOGONAL LINES: Straight diagonal lines drawn to connect points around the edges of a picture to the vanishing point. They represent parallel lines receding into the distance to help draw the viewer’s eye into the depth of the picture.
Discover the endless possibilities of what you can create through the process of printmaking. Students will learn both a Relief Printmaking and Collagraph Printmaking technique as they explore the process of making multiples, and enjoy seeing how no 2 prints are alike.
Relax and let yourself have fun creating your own patterns and designs in these mixed media drawings. Explore color, pattern and line. We will look to artists like Romero Britto for inspiration.
Happy Labor Day from everyone at art/work/place!
